Are you feeling the Christmas time crunch?
With only a few days left until the big day, the window is closing for you to finish up all those gifts. Maybe you’ve been struggling because you have no idea what to buy, or you’ve kept an eye out for the perfect gift that never popped up.
Either way, I’ve got you covered with last minute ideas that will please even the pickiest person on your list. Don’t delay—you’ll want to drop by the store as soon as possible—before those Holiday hours catch up with you!
1. Get Creative with Gift Cards
Everyone has their own opinion about gift cards, but if you’re short on time, they’re a great last -minute option. It doesn’t mean you didn’t know what else to get. In fact, your recipient might appreciate a card even more because they get to pick out their own gift!
Plus, you can package them in the cutest of ways. Tuck a gift card inside a mason jar and fill with candy, in a coffee mug along with a favorite treat, or even just an embellished envelope will make your gift that much more special.
2. Rearrange Pre-Packaged Gift Sets
I tend to be more careful with pre-packaged gift sets, as they can sometimes come off as tacky or impersonal. But you can totally fix this! Just deconstruct it and rearrange all the items inside. Take out what seems silly, and replace with a nicer, more personalized version. Then repackage everything yourself in a cute basket or box. Your recipient won’t even know you didn’t start from scratch!
You can also go a step further with this and recreate your own gift set based on the different themes you see in the store. Compile beauty supplies for a special gal, movie popcorn and treats for the film lover, or a basket of gardening supplies for family green thumb.
3. Whip up Easy Homemade Treats
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like Christmas goodies this time of year. Look for simple recipes on Pinterest or comb through your own clippings to find packable treats for that hard-to-get-for person on your list.
Whether it’s fudge, gourmet popcorn, or dipped oreos with crushed candy canes on top—the sky is the limit! Wrap in a cute tin or Holiday treat box to complete the look.
For those who want to avoid this stressful situation come next Christmas, I recommend you compile your own gift stash and slowly add to it throughout the year. Browse through your Flipp app each week to see what’s on sale, then pick up a few items to store for the Holidays.
The best part is, you’ll never be caught off guard by a last-minute gift—because you’ll always have plenty to choose from!
